Book a call with Nick
Thirty minutes on Google Meet. Bring search, AI, paid ads, automation or a website that needs rebuilding. It is a diagnosis, not a pitch. By the end you will know what is holding you back and what we would do about it, whether or not you decide to work with us.
Check the time zone shown on the calendar. Your confirmation carries the Google Meet link.
What people bring to these calls
We are a digital marketing agency, not only an SEO one. Most calls are one of these, and plenty are two or three at once.
Search that has stopped growing
Rankings that plateaued, traffic that slid, or a site that never ranked in the first place.
Being invisible in AI answers
ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI answers naming your competitors and not you.
Repetitive work you want automated
Content production, reporting, product data, the jobs quietly eating a day a week.
Paid ads that are not paying
Google Ads and Meta. We have our own people on both and they sit on the same plan.
A website that needs rebuilding
A redesign, a replatform, or a first proper shop. Shopify, or moving across to it.
A plan with nobody driving it
You know roughly what needs doing and you want one person owning the whole thing.

What happens in the thirty minutes
You tell us what you sell, who buys it and what one customer is worth to you. We cannot price an opportunity without that number.
We open the actual thing together. Your site, the live search results, your ad account, or an AI answer about your category. Not a slide deck. On screen, while you watch.
We tell you what we would fix first, in what order, and why that order. Then what it would cost, or that we are not the right fit for it.
What is free, and what is not
Free: the diagnosis and the order we would do things in. You can take that away and hand it to anyone, including your current agency or your own developer. We would rather you fixed it than nobody did.
Not free: doing it. The page briefs, the keyword map, the link targets and the implementation are the actual work, and that is what a retainer or a build pays for.
This call is worth your time if
A good fit
- You sell online, or you take enquiries through your site
- You can make changes to your own website, or you want us to
- If search is what you need, you are prepared to give it six to twelve months
- You want to know what is wrong even if you fix it yourself
- You are an independent business, not a marketing department with an agency roster already in place
Not a good fit
- You want a guaranteed position on Google. Nobody can give you that, and anyone who does is not telling you the truth
- You expect organic search to move inside a month. It does not, and we will not pretend otherwise. Ads are a different conversation
- You are looking for the cheapest option. We are not it
- Nobody on your side can approve work or make changes to the site
Who you are talking to
Nicholas James runs Blooming Checkout, and he takes the call himself. There is no account manager and no junior. Behind him is a small team: developers on builds, and paid search and Meta specialists when a project needs them. He also runs two of his own online shops, so the advice comes from someone who loses his own money when a page is slow.
Three things to have ready
Your number
Roughly what one new customer is worth to you over a year. A rough figure is fine. Without it nothing can be priced.
Who decides
If someone else has to agree before work starts, bring them to the call. It saves a second one.
What you have tried
Previous agencies, previous work, anything that did not land. It tells us where not to start.
What we will not do on the call
We will not guarantee a ranking or an AI mention. We will not promise movement inside the first two months, because that is not how search works and you would be right to hold us to it later. And we will not push you to decide on the call. If it is a fit, you will know, and so will we.
Prices are published, so you can read them before we speak: SEO plans and website builds. Paid ads, automation and anything larger are quoted after the call.
Pick a time
Thirty minutes. You will leave knowing what is wrong, whoever ends up fixing it.
Would rather write first? Send us a message and we will reply the same working day.
